ShopRite of Avenue I in Brooklyn, NY - Delightful Grocery, Bakery, and Deli Experience

The store was spacious. The recycling machines were not working and needed an attendant to service 3 machines. The cleaners were mopping and sweeping the floor while customers were shopping. Perhaps cleaning while the store is closed will enhance the customer experience.

Crowded at times. The parking lot is dangerous. Don't park in the parking lot if you like your car. The live lobsters are awesome plus they steam it for you. Order ahead. The service is good. The seafood section is highly recommended for kosher and regular seafood items. I really liked how they steam the small lobsters 1+ pounders and 3+ pounders.

This is the best 24HR supermarket …they have everything I need any time any day Sales are great especially the 3 day sales …Helen and Jade are the best in baking department. I will continue patronizing this store until I move. Thank you Shop Rite @ Ave I for being the best store in Brooklyn

A few shelves are empty at peak hours 2pm on Saturday but most things you need are stocked or they are actively restocking. Don't panic people. Lots of helpful employees working throughout the day. The lines were actually quick for such a busy time. Their 24 hour schedule was adjusted this weekend. Closing at 12am and opening 6am, according to a sign, likely for restock and cleaning.

This place is the best. Every time I visit, I get excited, because not only does this place offer cheap prices, they also have everything I need and a variety of items other stores simply do not have. They’re a large store in a busy place which is a very good advantage for them. The store is always clean, nothing is overpriced (in fact, some stuff is underpriced), and they always have the essentials I need and my favorite snacks. Definitely go here even if it’s far- it’s the best store by far in the Brooklyn area.

After spending a more time with holiday shopping this year I felt qualified to honestly compare a few large markets. ShopRite I felt topped the list in most categories, with the store at Avenue I and McDonald Ave being one of the BEST. It is seconded only by a supermarket in NJ (but even so, that was another ShopRite! we sometimes use in Carteret, and that one is more suburban and upscale so not fair to compare). Especially good is the in-store bakery, attentive staff, and department heads quick and careful to explain any odd product problems arising. Cleanliness was also above par compared with other large outlets. Still, you have to watch out for unexpected price increases in staple items, undoubtedly out of the store manager's control. But they are bewildering (Thomas' English muffins this week at 5.49 when the neighborhood price average is 3.68 ?). Still, our store of choice overall.

ShopRite is one of the best places to shop! They're open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. The service is always friendly, and the store is clean and well-stocked. The full kosher section and kosher aisle are super helpful, and they always have great sales.

This ShopRite on Avenue I is honestly one of the best grocery options in the area — especially since it's open 24 hours! Super convenient for late-night runs or when you need something after everything else closes. The selection is huge: tons of fresh produce, a solid international aisle (great for halal/kosher/Middle Eastern/Asian items), and the deli counter is a standout — their prepared foods, salads, and sliced meats are fresh and reasonably priced. I always grab the rotisserie chicken or some custom sandwiches when I'm in a rush, and the prices beat a lot of other spots around here.
